Discipline is needed for passion to thrive. It’s not about how many times you feel rejected, it’s about how many times you’re brave enough to get back on the horse and regain your focus. We are told to follow our passions, but one thing that’s failed to be said is the strategy required to fulfill a passion successfully.
“NEW YEAR, SAME YOU, BUT JUST A LITTLE WISER.”
Instead of looking at January as a state of change, look at it as an opportunity to become more fulfilled for the year ahead. Sit in a state of gratitude and look at how you can reassess the dreams you have for yourself and analyse the steps you’re currently taking to truly meet them. What are they? Try writing them down.
The law of attraction states, that you will attract into your life whatever you focus on. Therefore, whatever you give your energy and attention to will come back to you.
Following a life long passion isn’t about winning, it’s about never giving up. Surrender to the journey with dedication, and the openness to learn, to not be afraid, to act fearlessly. Being vulnerable to allow other people in, and to ask for help when you need it. There’s no gain without pain. A journey with yourself isn’t going to be easy, but it will be the greatest accomplishment you will ever make. With growth comes great mental expansion that will make you more focused, more positive and enable you to live more purposefully.
MAKE 2020 BE THE YEAR YOU GIVE BACK TO YOURSELF.
Flowing through life hoping and wishing isn’t enough. You can’t be fooled by the misconception social media portrays that a positive mindset alone can see you succeed #MondayMotivation, (although it’s a great pick-me up)! To live out your passion with purpose it needs commitment, it needs focus, and it needs dedication. Look at the most successful athletes in the world, they do more than dream about winning, they put in hard work seven days a week, they have a whole team coaching them, they analyse the wins and the losses. They repeat exercises every day to strengthen their mind and body. They have a strategy, making minor tweaks as they progress and become more informed through feedback from their coaches and their body.
Athletes are the embodiment of how a passion needs discipline to succeed. You are theathlete in your journey.
If you want 2020 to be the year you find your greatness, then make today the day you step in to yourself. Shift your consciousness, break old habits and make a commitment. Then, write it all down and look at what you can start to action today. Be honest, be courageous and step out of your comfort zone.
